Continuing the upward trend, there were thirty-eight contracts signed at $4 million and above last week. It was the highest number of contracts signed since the first week of August 2016 when 43 contracts were signed.

The No. 1 contract was Tower PH at 215 East 19th Street, called The Gramercy Square Condominium, asking $29.5 million. This penthouse has 6,989 square feet and includes 5 bedrooms and 6.5 bathrooms. The unit also features a dramatic 5,680-square-foot terrace that surrounds the apartment.

The No. 2 contract was 15B at 212 West 18th Street, asking $27.8 million. With triple exposures, facing breathtaking views of the Hudson River, Freedom Tower, and Statue of Liberty, this duplex has 4,748 square feet and includes 4 bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms. It also features a fantastic 686-square-foot terrace surrounding the living room, dining room, and kitchen.

This luxury residence is in Walker Tower and is owned by Michael Stern, one of the Walker Tower developers. The amenities include a concierge, 24-hour doorman, lounge, playroom, gym, sauna, and roof deck.

It is always spectacular to see the number of contracts signed go higher and higher each week as it reflects the busy activities that are taking place in the real estate market. Moreover, with the city loosening its COVID-19 restrictions such as reopening indoors dining, as well as cases going down, local and international buyers are roaming out in search of their perfect apartment.
