And we’re on to forty-seven contracts, which were signed at $4 million and above last week, six more than the previous week.

The No. 1 contract was Apartment 11W at 998 Fifth Avenue, asking $24 million. This co-op unit has 4 bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms. The home features a 38-foot living room, formal dining room, and a 33-foot master bedroom overlook Central Park and the Metropolitan Museum, all with fireplaces. There is a doorman and a fitness center in the building.

The No. 2 contract was 66B at 157 West 57th Street, asking $20.9 million. This condo has 4,193 square feet and includes 3 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms. The 42-foot living room, master bedroom, and gallery all face Central Park.

Designed by Pritzker Prize-winning architect Christian de Portzamparc, with interiors by Thomas Juul-Hansen, this 90-story, 90-unit condo was built above the 5-star Park Hyatt Hotel which has a separate entrance for its 210 rooms. The amenities include the use of hotel services, a fitness center, pool, private dining, a library lounge, performance space, and a garage.

The streak of 30 or more deals continues to 8 weeks in a row and the luxury market is keeping up the pace with heated sales activity following the pandemic slowdown. As the weather begins to warm up and the crisp spring smell is in the air, buyers are coming out to see if they can snatch a great deal before the opportunities close.
