Up from the previous week, there were twenty-seven contracts signed at $4 million and above last week.
The No. 1 contract was 11N at 70 Vestry Street, asking $28.5 million. This condo unit has 5,003 square feet and includes 5 bedrooms, 7.5 bathrooms, a library, and a 149-square-foot terrace off the master bedroom. There is a fireplace in the living room and the living room and the library have a view of the Hudson River. The amenities include a doorman, a fitness center with a yoga and Pilates studio, an 82-foot-long swimming pool, a lounge, and a billiards room.
The No. 2 contract was the 11th floor at 1010 Park Avenue, asking $18.5 million. This apartment has 3,881 square feet and includes 4 bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms. A new development building developed by Extell Development Company, this condo has 11-units on 15 floors. The amenities include doorman and concierge, residents’ lounge, screening room, 50’ indoor swimming pool, state-of-the-art fitness center, steam room, and children’s playroom.
A stellar performance to begin the month of February as the contracts signed last week closely reflect the same week last year when 26 were signed. As the market is getting better, and many buyers going out and creating a lot of activities, combined with price discounts and low-interest rates, New York real estate is slowly seeing confidence among buyers and brokers rebounding.
